Baby Twinkle
About

Built by one person, on purpose

Baby Twinkle is made by an independent developer in India. There is no company behind it, no investors, and no growth target that needs your data to hit.

Why it exists

Most pregnancy apps available here are built for somewhere else. The vaccination schedule is not the one an Indian clinic follows, the food advice assumes a kitchen nobody has, the government schemes a family is entitled to are not mentioned at all, and the whole thing is in English. Then the pregnancy ends and the app has nothing more to say.

This one is built around the Universal Immunization Programme, around a thali, around the schemes that actually pay, and around the fact that a woman is often in two stages at once. It is meant to be useful in a clinic queue in a district town with one bar of signal, which is why so much of it works with no connection at all.

How it is built, and what that means for you

What is still being worked on

Honestly, rather than after you find out:

Get in touch

Use the help button inside the app — the small ? at the bottom of every screen. It opens a conversation and the reply comes back in the app, so nothing depends on an email getting through.

That is also the route for privacy requests, including asking what we hold about you or asking us to delete it.

If you are a paediatrician, an obstetrician or a translator and any of the above sounds like something you could help with, please get in touch the same way — those are the three things this most needs.
